Admittedly, the headline is misleading. Yes, yet another stunning Cadillac concept has been unveiled, the Cadillac Expressive Coupe concept. Historically, Cadillac concepts rarely come to fruition because about 90 percent of car concepts are primarily used for publicity stunts.
It should be remebered that car manufacturers use concepts to introduce a design language that will influence future products. Therefore, elements like the headlight design, or its evolution, might be approved for final production and beyond.
If you wish to see Cadillac’s current design language, I can simply draw back the curtain to reveal the robust Escalade SUV with its brutalist aesthetics and the somewhat uninspired XT4, along with the Lyric EV-SUV.
Primarily sold in North America, Cadillac achieves over 160,000 unit sales annually and is regarded as a luxury brand owned and operated by General Motors.
As for a gorgeous Cadillac concept becoming a commercial reality? I’ll believe it when I see it on the dealership forecourts.
