Ironically, Hennessey themselves have gone on record saying no one needs a car with over 1,000 bhp. But pushing the limits of engineering is precisely why they exist. And clearly, they’ve found a niche: wealthy thrill-seekers chasing bragging rights, eager to own a machine so powerful it feels like it could weld the past and future together.

The Venom F5 Evolution is the latest distillation of unbridled madness. Hennessey teamed up with Ilmor Engineering to develop larger turbochargers, oval-shaped billet aluminium pistons, lightweight titanium exhaust valves, and high-flow fuel injectors—just a few highlights among a host of meticulous engineering upgrades and refinements.

The result? The world’s most powerful road-going combustion engine, delivering a staggering 2,031 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 1,445 lb-ft of torque at 5,200 rpm.

Hennessey also overhauled the suspension and steering systems to keep this beast in check. And to ensure the Venom F5 Evolution can aerodynamically tame its own insanity, they enlisted the expertise of renowned Formula One and IndyCar aerodynamicist Dr. Mark Handford.
