Let the countdown begin — mark your calendars for 21 January 2026, when Volvo will unveil the EX60, the fully electric successor to the XC60, in a livestreamed event from Stockholm, Sweden.
Volvo isn’t shying away from boasting about the EX60’s capabilities, promising the longest electric range of any Volvo to date, along with a groundbreaking user experience. This could hint that, in addition to a pure-electric model, Volvo may also introduce a range-extender variant.
The EX60 is Volvo Cars’ first fully electric entry in the premium mid-size SUV segment — a category in which the company already claims leadership. It’s a bold statement from Volvo, but one that underscores the model’s importance.
Set to become a cornerstone of the product lineup, the EX60 represents a major step in Volvo’s transformation into a fully electrified automaker. Production will take place at the Torslanda plant in Gothenburg, beginning in the first half of 2026.
