German automotive YouTuber Autogefühl is reviewing the upgraded Mercedes-Maybach, a car often purchased by people who can’t afford a Bentley or Rolls-Royce. In reality, the Maybach is essentially just an extended S-Class.
Cleverly, Mercedes has created a bespoke tailoring program around the Maybach, deceiving buyers into believing they are stepping into a world of custom luxury.
They are not.
What Maybach customers are actually buying is an expensive, overpriced options list—designed to make people believe that the more they spend, the better the product.
