Aston Martin Valen: 850PS V12 Special Revealed
Auto News

Aston Martin has decided that its latest V12 special needs to be more than merely fast. It needs to be spectacular. Enter the Valen, a 150-car limited-production supercar that takes the company’s front-engined formula and turns the volume knob until it snaps off.

Under that dramatically sculpted carbon-fibre body sits Aston Martin’s most powerful front-engined V12 yet: a 5.2-litre twin-turbo monster producing 850PS and 1,000Nm from just 2,500rpm.

Power reaches the rear wheels through a sharpened eight-speed ZF automatic, helping the Valen dispatch 0–60mph in just 3.0 seconds before charging towards an electronically limited 214mph.

But Aston Martin hasn’t simply bolted more power onto the furniture and called it a day. The Valen is up to 110kg lighter than the core V12 platform, thanks to heroic quantities of carbon fibre, aluminium, titanium and magnesium. There are lightweight wheels, optional titanium chassis hardware and a suspension system recalibrated to make the car feel sharper, smaller and more eager than something this large and powerful has any right to be.

Then there is the noise. A bespoke titanium exhaust uses four tailpipes and carefully tuned acoustics to make the V12 sound increasingly furious as the revs climb. Because apparently 850PS wasn’t enough theatre.

The styling is equally unrestrained. Deeply recessed headlights, a plunging bonnet, enormous vents and an aggressive rear treatment give the Valen the stance of something that has escaped from a hypercar laboratory.

Inside, however, Aston remembers that its customers occasionally have to live with their cars. There are Sports Plus seats, carbon performance seats, premium leather, Alcantara and an almost absurd level of personalisation through Q.

Only 150 will be built, with deliveries due from Q2 2027. The price isn’t mentioned, but frankly, if you need to ask, the V12 probably isn’t the only thing out of reach.
