The Mercedes-AMG GT SUV marks the first time in its 59-year history that AMG has developed a full-size SUV entirely in-house, from the ground up.
Based on the AMG.EA high-performance architecture, it combines the practicality, space and comfort of an SUV with the dynamic character of a sports car.
The range comprises three electric models: the GT 63, GT 55 and GT 53. The flagship GT 63 delivers up to 860 kW (1,169 hp) from three axial flux motors, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and reaching a top speed of 270 km/h with the Driver’s Package. +.
The GT 55 produces up to 600 kW (816 hp), while the entry-level GT 53 delivers 400 kW (544 hp) through two synchronous motors.
Two battery options, with usable capacities of 106 kWh and 128 kWh, employ 800-volt technology, directly cooled cylindrical cells and advanced thermal management to sustain performance under demanding conditions.
The larger battery offers a claimed WLTP range of up to 700 kilometres. Charging power reaches 710 kW, potentially adding up to 450 kilometres of WLTP range in ten minutes under suitable conditions.
Driving dynamics are enhanced by AMG ACTIVE RIDE CONTROL+ suspension, featuring active pitch and roll stabilisation, alongside active rear-axle steering and variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive.
The AMG RACE ENGINEER system allows drivers to tailor responsiveness, cornering behaviour and traction.
AMG also aims to preserve an emotional driving experience through its AMGFORCE Sport+ mode, which incorporates recorded V8 or six-cylinder engine sounds, simulated gear changes, seat shakers and a dedicated display design.
Orders for the GT 53 open on 20 October 2026, with prices starting at €113,050. The GT 55 and GT 63 are scheduled to follow in spring 2027.
