Exclusive Interview: Sylvester Stallone on Cars
Features

Sylvester Stallone you either hate him or want to be one of his movie characters, there isn’t anyone young or old then or now who hasn’t seen Rocky, Rambo, and now the Expendables. And how many of us have seen Rocky I and then gone on to re-enact the fight and the training scenes.

We caught up with Sylvester Stallone at one of his favorite restaurants in Beverly Hills, the movie legend granted us an exclusive interview after months of negotiations. The topic was cars, movies and cars.

DCB: Hello Mr. Stallone thanks for inviting us down to Beverley Hills, it sure makes England look bleak and that’s even in the summer time.

Sylvester Stallone: “Yeah, (laughs) yo! Enduhuhf, snduh, huh!”

DCB: We see you arrived in your Mercedes G63 its customised right, can you tell us a little bit about it?

Sylvester Stallone: “Yeah… YO! Errwwhh murghh, rarrrewh psijdjrrwwr eerindr, huh!”

DCB: We agree totally with that Mr. Stallone, (I glance over to my colleague and we look confused, Mr. Stallone is talking but we don’t understand what he is saying, we smile as Mr Stallone continues.

Sylvester Stallone: “Errrwruurrr, Mercedes grrrtthhnatu shhb dyytiis grrwarr tursser G63 gghhhrrrr 450bhp.”

DCB: Yes… Mr. Stallone…. errmm do you like the fish course?

Sylvester Stallone: YO!

DCB: We’ll take that as a yes.

As we tuck into the dessert we look around for the nearest exit, it’s blocked, but we decide to end the interview abruptly and without notice. It’s not gone very well and Mr. Stallone is mumbling in his characteristic way.

We can take no more and run out of the restaurant but we didn’t realise it’s an offense to run in public in the USA and we get arrested by the cops.

As we are punched, kicked, stamped on, kicked some more, and then bundled into a waiting police van and we’re told that if we were African Americans we would have been shot. I ask why, and the Police say “because out here we’re the law and we shoot them folks for fun.”

We’re held in a cell overnight and then deported back to blighty, God bless you America, but as a famous philosopher once said “i’ll be back”.
