Mercedes have revealed the pricing and specification for the flagship S Class Coupe which is set to go on sale in September. And its going to be predictably expensive. The V8 bi-turbo S 63 AMG Coupe is a comparative gentleman, it produces 585 hp and 900 Nm of torque and covers the 0-62 dash in 4.4s, it will cost £125,595. If that isn’t enough power for you then why not consider the thug of the range, the V12 S65 AMG Coupé, perhaps the 630 hp and 1000 Nm of torque it develops might just be worth more to you than the £183,065 it will cost. The innocent of the S Class Coupe range will be the £96,000 ‘entry’ level version with its bog standard 4.7 litre V8 producing 448bhp and 516lb/ft of torque, but it won’t arrive until 2015. At this price range expect to be pampered with exotic levels of kit, Active Parking Assist with a reversing camera, an expansive panoramic roof, an ultra-sharp TFT 12.3” display, the clever Magic Vision Control system, COMAND Online and a choice of nine metallic paint options come as standard. The S 63 AMG Coupé will add Seat Comfort Package, Magic Body Control, and a thumping Burmester surround sound system. Go for the S 65 AMG Coupé and you get additional Head-up display, a TV Tuner, a 360 camera, and Night View Assist. Mercedes are also experts at money extraction, offering a £5k Premium package for S 500 Coupe owners, there is also the AMG Carbon Fibre Package at another £5k.
