Bentley Mulsanne Convertible Concept On Is Back On
Auto News
Remember the Bentley Convertible Concept renderings from 2012? We don’t so we may as well give you a quick reminder, because there is nothing worse than repeating old news. Because there is nothing worse than repeating old news. Bentley’s then CEO, Wolfgang Duerheimer flashed this concept to a select few customers at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance event. Durheimer left not long after and his replacement, Wolfgang Schreiber put the party on hold indefinitely. Bentley-Mulsanne-Concept-Roof Durheimer went off to Audi caused a few headaches and after two years returned to his old post at Bentley earlier this year where to his dismay he discovered his pet project had remained inactive. Wolfy delivered his own Arnold Schwarzenegger inspired one liner by announcing at this years Pebble Beach event that “it is back on”. The Mulsanne convertible will have to face down soon to be launched convertibles from Rolls Royce’s Ghost and to a lesser extent the Mercedes S Class convertible. The current generation Mulsanne is epic luxury at its most opulent, its a big beast of a car and at its heart is a  6.7-litre V8 churning out 505 bhp at 4,200 rpm and 1,020 Nm of torque. The cost will empty your bank account quicker than a stock broker and will set you back nearly £300,000 GBP. We just want to know what happened to Schreiber?  Bentley-Mulsanne-Concept
