You may be forgiven for believing the Evanta Barchetta is a 1950’s classic, well it isn’t, its a classic take of the 1950’s motorsport era, designed and built in the United Kingdom in 2014. Evanta is a restoration specialist and coachbuilder led by Ant Anstead. The Barchetta is the company’s 2-seater open top speedster, the body is fabricated from composite kevlar which sits on top of a tubular frame.
The Barchetta is powered by a 6.2-litre, 450bhp engine, performance stats are thin on the ground but Evanta say the it will be limited to a production run of 99 with 24 models being made each year.
Right and left hand drive versions will be made to order and either a manual or automatic gearbox will be available as a matter of choice, the company says the order books are filling up fast. The Evanta Barchetta was revealed at the 2014 Goodwood Revival motorshow.
No details on the price have been made available. It looks stunning, in any era.
