We like plucky little cars and they don’t get any more pluckier than the Suzuki Swift however the third generation has been around since 2010. A few styling updates have kept the Swift alive but 6 years in the car industry is equivalent to around 25 human years. So it’s about time Suzuki replaced their third generation Swift supermini and as you might have already guessed that’s exactly what they have been doing. So these leaked images show the fourth generation Swift and this time it’s coming with a bit more styling attitude to give the Mini Hatch a run for its popularity. The floating roof is the major difference between third and fourth gen and all in all it looks like a better balanced design, soft yet aggressive. Like a Pug dog. Suzuki are better established in emerging markets where they offer cheap but cheerful cars and that’s where they make most of their money. Suzuki also are kind of like specialists in making small engines and its very likely a new 1.0-litre petrol turbo engine will be added to the lineup. There really isn’t too much information to make reveal just yet other than the new Swift is expected to arrive in 2017. And who ever leaked the images will be hunted down like a dog. Suzuki have a long memory.
