This is the moment a young calf’s life was temporarily spared… before it makes an inevitable journey to the slaughter house. Minding it’s own business and spending the day with mum and dad the calf was merrily crossing a dusty track when upon a sudden a WRC came hurtling from out of its own dust cloud during a stage of the Guanajuato México 2016 Rally.
French rally star, Sébastien Ogier was at the helm of his 318bhp WRC spec Volkswagen Polo R. Ogier used his quick mind and super fast reflexes to steer out of the calf’s way… Just in time.
Fortunately both animal and racing animal were unharmed. The young cow was had a narrow escape and was said to none the worse for his ordeal.
Or was it the case that the calf reacted quicker than Ogier. No one will ever know.
