This Is the Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Convertible
Auto News

OK so we’re back on the supercar hunt but this time it’s convertible. Remember the limited edition Aston Martin Vanquish that was revealed the other week? Well meet the convertible version, but it isn’t going to happen any time soon because it’s a concept by our resident Photoshop guru Theophilus Chin.

While we’re not great fans of convertibles, because of the loss of structural rigidity, we do think the Vanquish Zagato in convertible form gets the thumbs up, Facebook style.

The Vanquish Zagato was designed by Aston Martin’s long-standing partnership with Italian design-house Zagato. A relationship that stretches back nearly 50 years.

Lurking beneath that Italian designed carbon-fibre form factor is Aston Martin’s 6.0-litre V12 powertrain which is good for 592bhp and able to serve up a 0-62mph time of just 3.5 seconds.

The roof features a double-bubble design and the rear will have a DB11 inspired retractable spoiler. You’ll also get LED light’s and all of this will be wrapped up in a super luxurious interior.

There is one condition, only 99 units of the coupe will ever be made and all have been sold in advance. Will there ever be a convertible?

No but it’s quite possible a private owner could get a conversion done by Aston Martin’s bespoke Q division that serves clients with very deep pockets and so much money they can burn it.
