Carcela Aims To End The Era of The Used Car Middle Man Trade
Industry News

Let’s face it walking into a used car dealership is like playing Russian Roulette, you won’t be holding a gun to your head you’ll be holding a wad of cash and the trigger mechanism to release the grip on your cash is almost always a pushy used car sales man wearing a $70 dollar suit and shiny, plastic shoes. Visiting a used car dealership is not too dissimilar to a Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western the long walk, the vacant expressionless look, the suspicious characters looking back at you and then suddenly and without warning the dramatic finale.

You won’t hear any gunfire in a used car dealership there is an equivalence… well meaning platitudes, rounds of platitudes fired at rapid pace. What if you could avoid all of that used car dealership interaction and go straight to the source of the car deal hassle free?

Carcela might be the junction where you can head in the right direction and you will not require a Sat/Nav to get there because Carcela will do everything for you. Hold on… what is Carcela?

Carcela is a peer-to-peer serviced marketplace for used vehicles the website allows customers to buy and sell their vehicles and all they need is a smart device and a Wifi signal or a mobile network data plan.

Carcela aims to use the strength of peer-2-peer algorithms to cut out the middleman the website can help it’s users to coordinate everything from test drives, to inspection of the vehicle to the DVLA paperwork with no dealership in sight.

Carcela was founded by UK based entrepreneur Dagmawi Belay, the website launched in November 2016 and has quickly scaled up by generating £1 million in revenue to date.

The company started it’s operations in Glasgow, Geneva and Munich and is now looking to expand into London Manchester and Brighton, and beyond the EU.

Indeed Carcela is expanding so rapidly that it is winning more big money investment, were talking millions, which will allow its operations to expand further into the rest of Europe.

As Carcela CEO Dagmawi Belay told us ”We are looking to be-rid the concept of dealerships for used vehicles for customers, and allow customers to not have to go through all the typical hassle associated with buying and selling their cars. I would know. I had tried to buy a car for my mum from a dealership, and left thinking I need to be-rid their existence!”.

If you want to use Carcela now in the UK then you’ll have to wait as the company is working hard to integrate it’s UK operations with a fully focused, armed and operational UK based web presence.
