It used to be called a binary name, AM-RB 001, now its been given a name derived from a mythological sentient being from Old Norse, Valkyrie. Valkyrie translated into English means”chooser of the slain” a female Goddess who decides who lives or who dies on the field of battle. The name continues a tradition of Aston Martin ‘V’ cars a tradition stretching back to 1951 with the Vantage DB2. The Valkyrie is expected to run off the production line by 2019 and will house a bespoke Costhworth 6.5-litre V12 Hybrid derived from F1’s current Hybrid Kerrs technology. Valkyrie will weigh around 900kg and the expected power output will be around 900bhp which will make Valkyrie one of the most potent Hypercars made to date. Built in limited numbers Valkyrie is expected to retail for around £2m GBP.  Aston-Martin-Valkyrie
