Aston Martin DBX Given Uglyful Makeover By Mansory
Auto News

Define Uglyful: Uglyful is a portmanteau of the words ugly and beautiful. The term Uglyful applies to the Mansory DBX. Mansory is the German automotive tuning and styling house behind this… bespoke creation. And you know what? We like it. We think it works better than the traditional OEM styling. The Aston Martin DBX isn’t the definition of Aston Martin’s styling language. They, Aston Martin, should have made the DBX Concept into a production reality. But the alternative reality is the current DBX, which has to accommodate headroom, and boot space takes priority. These practical factors erode the final design decisions and ergo we end up with the DBX as we know it.

So Mansory is more than welcome to do its thing on the Aston Martin DBX. As usual, Mansory has gone for that wide-body stance and lowered the suspension. The rear has a twin wing setup and a massive rear diffuser. It looks over the top and it is over the top.

Mansory DBX - Rear Elevation - Dailycarblog

The Mansory DBX rides on giant front and rear 24-inch alloy wheels. How did they get them to fit in the wheel arches? Mansory upgraded the 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine by fitting new a new engine management system, a sports air filter, and new more powerful turbos.

As a result of these upgrades, the Mansory DBX has a power rating of 800bhp and 1,000 Nm of torque. The 0-60 time is 3.8-seconds, over 0.8 seconds faster than the stock production version. And the top speed has increased to 202 mph, 21mph faster than the OEM DBX.

The interior is re-upholstered with lime green accents because that’s a Mansory touch. Of course, Mansory offers a bespoke service so will tailor the interior to individual taste. So how much does all of this bespokery cost? No official word just yet, but expect a price tag of around $250K.
