Why people need a pick-up truck with 700bhp is a bit of a mystery but there is a market out there for such a vehicle. And as long as that market exists, there will always be a place for a 700bhp pickup truck. And Ford is happy to dip its toe in the upgrade aftermarket in order to keep its customer base happy and the digital cash tills ching-chinging away. The supercharger kit is available to order for the 2021 year model Ford F150 and is designed to give the 5.0-litre V8 a bit of extra heave and extra hoe.
With the upgrade installed, power is boosted, or rather supercharged, to 700bhp and 800Nm of torque (590 lb-ft). This allows for a 0-62mph time in less than five seconds. The kit will be sold with an intercooler and air inlet as well as installation components/hardware.
The entire package comes with a three-year warranty and is expected to cost around £3,000.
The installation will take about 10 maybe 12 hours, the order system will open by the end of the year, exclusively via the Ford Performance website.
