We rarely get excited about American cars, because… let’s try and be diplomatic here… American cars are the culmination of profit first consumers last. Over the last 40 years, American car makers just seemed to lack any kind of desire to make decent cars. But look at this, the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ as reviewed by Unbox Therapy… it appears that Cadillac has made a huge effort. Why? Why now?
The Cadillac LYRIQ is luxury motoring in a way that would shame a Bentley Bentayga. And Bentley should be ashamed because Cadillac has beaten the British bulldog to the electric luxury SUV throne. Volkswagen has got to take a lot of the blame for that because VW owns Bentley.
What impresses most about the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ, is not just how complete and cohesive it appears to be, nor is it the electric powertrain. The LYRIQ impresses with its attention to detail. And I have never seen an American car brand do luxury as well if not better than European rivals.
Unbox Therapy does a brilliant job of presenting the LYRIQ. The new generation of wealthy YouTubers/millennials etc will be influenced enough to go out and buy one after watching this video.
Just as the all-new Range Rover and Sport are being revealed, the LYRIQ demonstrates just how backward Land Rover is because the company has yet to unveil a pure electric offering.
