OK, so Lucid has not named its new vanity package after Darth Vader, it is simply known as the Stealth Package. Although we do imagine Darth Vader would be rather favorable to such a car if he lived on earth. Because Lucid is a one-model-only electric car manufacturer, the Air is the recipient of this creative marketing bombshell. Every modern car manufacturer in existence has, at some point, offered a blacked-out edition. Black paint, black everything. Behold the Lucid Air Stealth edition which has over 35 different vanity upgrades according to Lucid.

The Lucid Air Stealth Edition is available in either a satin graphite finish or gloss black. The gloss black finish gives the Airt a sinister stealth appearance from front to rear. No part of the exterior bodywork has been left untouched during the spraying process. No area is free from the stealth-out look.

The finishing touch are the alloy wheels which come in two options, 20-inch or 21-inch diameters. The Stealth package is available to buy as a $6,000 option and will be unveiled at the Monterey Car Week at Motorlux on Wednesday, August 17th.

Is the Lucid Air Stealth Edition marketing hype? We really don’t why this story is deserving of coverage, it must be a slow news day. Lucid must be trying to bury bad news and the Stealth Edition is a classic distraction strategy.
