The Callum Lounge Chair
Features

There are lounge chairs and then there are lounge chairs, the Callum Lounge Chair is perhaps the mother of all lounge chairs. The only one you will ever want or need to own. This is no ordinary lounge chair, for one, its been designed by Sir Ian Callum, the legendary automotive designer who tried to put the Jaguar back into Jaguar and he also co-designed the iconic and never bettered Aston Martin DB9.

Callum left Jaguar Land Rover, where he spent the majority of his career, a few years ago to set up his own design and engineering consultancy. And here is the latest Callum masterpiece. The Callum Lounge Chair is limited to just 50 examples worldwide, each one will retail for £8,500 plus local taxes.

The Callum Lounge Chair - The Leather

Of course, for that price, you will get a completely bespoke chair dressed and finished to your personal preferences. The Callum Lounge Chair design is clearly influenced by the timeless classic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman footstool of 1956.

The Callum Lounge Chair - Details

The Callum Lounge Chair’s exposed carbon fibre in twill weave complements the luxury smoked eucalyptus veneer that encases the custom-moulded plywood shell of the seat, back and ottoman. The star-shaped base is cast aluminium that has been finished by hand to complement the colour of the carbon fibre spine.
