Steve is his name and reviewing road cars for the UK’s Auto Express is his game set and match. The Ineos Fake Land Rover is unique in that it copy/pastes the classic Land Rover Defender exterior design. But motoring journalists will never say the Ineos Fake Land Rover is a complete rip-off of the Defender for fear of upsetting the British and out-of-touch billionaire owner of Ineos.
Motoring journalists never cease to lambast Chinese car firms whenever they create a similar-looking car to BMW or Mercedes. To be fair, Steve does make a passing comment about the Fake Land Rover’s familiar-looking exterior, but he doesn’t break into a sweat about it.
Anyway, the Ineos Fake Land Rover is an exercise in utterly pointless nostalgia.
