Yet, in direct illumination, the petals bloom into a pearlescent red signature. These two shades compose the fundamental color palette of the La Rose Noire Droptail. The Droptail’s removable hardtop transforms the La Rose Noire into a roadster.

The opulent interior reveals parquetry fashioned by the touch of skilled craftsmen and women. The artwork represents an abstract expression of falling rose petals, formed using 1,603 pieces of black wood veneer triangles. The intricately elaborate pattern is the outcome of an extensive journey spanning almost two years, marked by relentless development, and rigorous experimentation.

Under the hood, power emanates from a twin-turbocharged 6.75-liter V12 engine, fine-tuned to deliver an extra 30bhp compared to the Phantom. The engine outputs 593bhp, while the torque is upped by 44lb ft to 620lb ft.

The fascia of Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail is provisioned with an integrated one-off timepiece by Audemars Piguet, which was specially commissioned by the client. The 43mm Royal Oak Concept Split-Seconds Chronograph GMT Large Date is powered by a unique self-winding Calibre 4407 movement.

While Rolls-Royce has chosen to withhold specific performance figures, it is undeniably evident that the Droptail’s prowess will align closely with the V12-powered Dawn. It’s conceivable that the 0-62mph acceleration could achieve a sub-5.0-second feat, and a top speed limited to 155mph.

The owners also undertook the commissioning of an exclusive vintage wine crafted for the La Rose Noire Droptail from renowned winemaker Champagne de Lossy.
