Consumer Warning: Sterile Corporate Monolith Stellantis Made Jeep Wrangler Fire Alert
Auto News

The ongoing threat known as the Sterile Corporate Monolith Stellantis has imposed its lackluster quality control measures onto the Jeep brand. This sterile corporation now owns Jeep, a brand whose very essence has been diluted and gutted, erasing the qualities that once made it the epitome of a go-anywhere off-road brand. Presently, Jeep is as American as a Peugeot, or more precisely, nothing beyond a rebranded Peugeot. Peugeot, a brand not synonymous with reliability, has now bestowed its lack of dependability upon Jeep, courtesy of this corporate amalgamation.

Last week, Sterile Corporate Monolith Stellantis issued a global recall for the Jeep Wrangler 4Xe Plugin Hybrid after an investigation revealed instances of vehicles spontaneously catching fire. According to the findings, the affected vehicles ignited while parked, switched off, and not in use, with some of them even being connected to electric vehicle (EV) chargers.

The recall pertains to specific 2021-24 Jeep Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid SUVs, with approximately 32,000 vehicles affected in the U.S., 3,900 in Canada, and 9,200 outside North America. Although the manufacturer asserts that the vehicles are still safe to drive, we strongly advise against taking their word for it. If you own one, refrain from driving it until it undergoes necessary repairs.

That concludes Daily Car Blog’s consumer alert.
