Rolls-Royce Phantom Coupe: A Unique Coachbuilt Edition by Ares Modena
Auto News

Rolls-Royce no longer provides a coupe variant for the Phantom, formerly referred to as the Phantom Coupe. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to drive one, and loved the timeless design, the majestic driving experience, and a sumptuous interior. The Phantom Coupe diverges from the core values of owning a Rolls-Royce, as you drive yourself as opposed to the typical Rolls Royce owner preferring a chauffeur-driven experience.

The bespoke automotive coachbuilder, Ares Modena, perhaps impatient for Rolls-Royce to release a Coupe version of the Phantom and took matters into their own hands. They purchased a $500,000 Rolls-Royce and removed the roof to craft a unique, bespoke Phantom Coupe. Actually, they haven’t executed the project, they’ve unveiled GCI renderings that depict the anticipated appearance of their bespoke build.

The current Rolls-Royce Phantom is propelled by a 6.75-liter twin-turbo V12 engine, producing 563 hp (420 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. Ares refrains from modifying powertrains, focusing instead on coachbuilding and a complete retrim of the interior to align with, if not surpass, Rolls-Royce standards.

If you desire a Rolls-Royce Coupe, you can choose the all-electric Spectre. However, if you truly wish to complement your four-door Phantom with a two-door variant and are unwilling to wait for Rolls-Royce to provide one, Ares Modena will fulfil your driveway dream.

The cost for this entirely bespoke transformation is not known at this time, but anticipate paying over $1 million.
