Ford Asks UK Government For Corporate Socialism And Rugged Individualism For Tax Payers
Industry News

Ford Motor Company has urged the British government to ease stringent regulations requiring a significant portion of vehicle sales to be electric by 2025, citing insufficient customer demand and the need for more incentives.

Despite introducing electric models, Ford has struggled to meet these targets and fears potential fines of up to £15,000 per vehicle for non-compliance.

The company has also called for a reduction in value-added tax on electric vehicles, extended incentives for electric vans, and a review of Chinese EV imports and subsidies.

Ford’s stance aligns with other automakers, including Stellantis, who have criticized the aggressive push for electric vehicles.
