Bentley has doubled its plug-in hybrid range with the debut of a new 680 PS High Performance Hybrid powertrain, now available across the Continental GT, Continental GT Convertible, and Flying Spur models. This addition underscores Bentley’s electrification strategy, as all of its two-door and four-door grand tourers are now powered exclusively by electrified V8 engines.

Joining the 782 PS Ultra Performance Hybrid introduced in 2024 for the Speed and Mulliner models, the new High Performance Hybrid is offered in both core and Azure variants. While the Speed variant remains the most potent in Bentley’s stable, the new hybrid surpasses the previous W12 Speed engine in every performance category—delivering more power, torque, and acceleration, while also offering up to 50 miles (80 km) of pure electric range.
A New Standard in Hybrid Performance
At the heart of the latest models is an advanced 4.0-litre V8 engine paired with a powerful electric motor, producing a combined 680 PS and 930 Nm of torque. This setup propels the new Continental GT from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds, and the GT Convertible in 3.8 seconds, while achieving impressively low CO₂ emissions of 29 g/km and 31 g/km respectively.

Both models also benefit from Bentley’s Active Chassis Technology, featuring Dynamic Ride, Rear Wheel Steering, and electronic limited-slip differential (eLSD), offering a blend of refined comfort and dynamic handling across varying drive modes—Comfort, Bentley, and Sport.
Distinctive Design & Handcrafted Luxury
The fourth-generation Continental GT and GT Convertible retain their signature design DNA, such as the iconic matrix grille, now finished in gloss black with a chrome surround, and the elegant ‘Harmony’ headlamps inspired by cut crystal, complete with animated lighting. The rear is equally striking, with chrome tailpipes and red lens taillights featuring the same animation.

Inside, Bentley’s famed craftsmanship is on full display, with hand-stitched straight fluted seats and customizable interior accents, including optional dark chrome detailing. Treadplates proudly bear the inscription: “Handcrafted in Crewe, England.”
Azure: The Wellness-Focused Grand Tourer
For those seeking even more comfort and serenity, the Azure variant focuses on wellbeing through design and technology. The Azure models feature a unique vertical-vaned gloss black grille, new 22-inch machined wheels, and signature Azure badging. The cabin includes 3D Harmony diamond quilting, illuminated Azure treadplates, and Wellness seating with open pore crown cut walnut veneers.

Standard features on the Azure trim include Bentley’s Touring, Comfort, and Lighting Specifications, with added luxuries like a panoramic sunroof in the GT Azure and a heated neck warmer in the GT Convertible Azure—perfect for roof-down drives in cooler weather.
