Ferrari has begun testing what appears to be the near-final prototype of its first all-electric supercar, ahead of its official debut timeline. The first details will be unveiled on October 8, as confirmed by CEO Benedetto Vigna and Chairman John Elkann.
Recent spy shots show a heavily camouflaged prototype, marking the transition from Maserati-based test mules to Ferrari’s true EV design. The launch will take place in three phases: the platform and powertrain will be presented in October 2024, the interior and exterior design will follow in early 2026, and the full model debut is set for spring 2026.
Vigna has emphasised that Ferrari’s first zero-emission car will be developed “the right way,” ensuring driving excitement and performance remain true to the brand’s DNA. The car is expected to be similar in size to the Purosangue SUV, though more aerodynamic, with rear doors suggesting a four-seat layout. A roof spoiler and sculpted arches add to the sporty profile, though some details may be disguises.
Rumours point to a starting price around $500,000, with first deliveries scheduled for late 2026. The EV marks a pivotal moment for Ferrari as it seeks to prove that electrification can still deliver the soul of the Prancing Horse.
