Restoring a 1968 Dodge Charger
Restoring A Dodge Charger… the British way
Video

Britain cannot keep its grimy, Limey little finger off America. The British still live in a pre-1775 mindset, and ever since 1783, the Brits — the Limeys — haven’t been able to keep their grubby British hands off America to this day. They still want a piece of America back. They’re not satisfied with just McDonald’s and Big Macs; they want the real America — the soul of the open road, the spirit that can’t be imported or imitated.

The Brits want to reassert their colonial dominance over America — not by the gun, but by assimilating American culture. And damn them — the British-based Tyrell’s Workshop even has a 1968 Dodge Charger in their shop, currently under restoration, presumably to start a new war to take back America.

Anyway, enough of this fantasy of divide and conquer. Tyrell’s Classic Workshop are true experts in classic car restoration. When we saw the video screengrab of the Dodge Charger, it just looked awesome — so it had to be featured. I’m starting to appreciate classic cars more than I once did, back in the day.

I guess my renewed appreciation is down to how bulky and excessive modern car design has become, largely due to safety and regional regulations. Anyway, Mr. Tyrell gives us a fascinating insight into the Dodge Charger.. and not much more.
