Luminar’s shares have plummeted from nearly $600 (pre-split equivalent) to below $1, as the company struggles with heavy cash burn, missed revenue targets, and the loss of its key partner, Volvo, which has removed LiDAR from its upcoming EV plans.
The collapse represents one of the most severe downturns in the autonomous-driving sector and casts significant doubt on the commercial viability of LiDAR technology.
