How Strong Is Tesla Glue? Really, Really, Really Strong

YouTuber JerryRigEverything tested the towing capacity of his Tesla Cybertruck—a vehicle he frequently criticizes. Unsurprisingly, after overloading the Cybertruck by 10 times the recommended weight, the rear end snapped.

He then sent the Cybertruck in for repairs, and Tesla allowed him to follow the process, which was generous considering the company could have denied that request.

Instead of using welds, Tesla uses a blue industrial adhesive—what they call “Tesla Blue Glue”—which they claim is stronger than welding.

The aerospace industry has been using similar super-adhesives to attach wings to aircraft frames, including military jets, which endure far higher stress than a Tesla Cybertruck.

Once his vehicle was repaired, JerryRigEverything decided to test just how strong Tesla Blue Glue really is—and it turns out, it’s very strong.
