Volkswagen is about to reveal the successor to the Volkswagen ID.3, called the Volkswagen ID.3 Neo, arriving with a world premiere in mid-April.
The big news isn’t just the name. It’s packed with new software, including smarter Travel Assist with traffic-light detection and one-pedal driving, so you can slow the car to a stop just by lifting off the accelerator.
The new system — already rolling out in cars like the Volkswagen ID.4, Volkswagen ID.5, and Volkswagen ID.7 — also brings a revamped infotainment setup with an in-car app store and an optional digital key that lets you unlock the car with your phone or smartwatch.

There’s also Vehicle-to-Load, meaning the car can power things like grills, coffee machines, or e-bikes straight from its battery.
And thanks to a new 140 kW motor and 58 kWh LFP battery, entry-level models get better efficiency and up to 40 km more range.
In short: more tech, more range, and a car that can charge your e-bike while you make coffee in a field. Quite handy, really.
