No one does cute city cars better than Honda, and the new Honda Super-N EV is another classic from its design skunkworks. So much so that, when we saw the official images, we couldn’t help but think it looks like it belongs in a Japanese anime or manga film.
So we got our resident artist to work, and after many hours of toil, he delivered these image-inspired renderings of the Honda Super-N.

Back to the subject: the Honda Super-N is going on sale in the UK with a starting price of £20,000 and a claimed range of 199 miles, which likely translates to around 160 miles in the real world.
Honda says the Super-N is a compact EV is inspired by the old City Turbo II and built on Honda’s lightweight N Series platform.

Visually, it leans hard into retro charm with manga anime vibe, chunky bumpers and aero detailing, while the interior gets blue lighting that turns purple when BOOST Mode is engaged—because nothing says “performance” like mood lighting.
The Super-N follows the brand’s “Man-Maximum, Machine-Minimum” philosophy, which roughly translates to: keep the car small, light, and entertaining, and let the driver have the fun bit.

There’s a BOOST Mode that bumps power from 47kW to 70kW, a simulated seven-speed gearbox (because realism is optional), and even an Active Sound Control system that generates engine noises so your neighbours don’t forget what a revving engine sounds like.

In short: it’s an EV pretending it’s still got petrol running through its veins—and not even shy about it.
Arriving in the UK from July, the Super-N isn’t trying to be the fastest or longest range EV on the road. It’s trying to be the one you actually want to drive.
