Honda has updated the 2026 Civic e:HEV hybrid range with new technology, enhanced equipment and fresh styling, The headline addition is S+ Shift technology, previously introduced on the new Prelude.

The system simulates eight-speed gear changes, adding a more involving, performance-focused feel to the Civic’s hybrid driving experience.

The Sport trim also receives a series of upgrades, including a premium 12-speaker BOSE sound system, red interior stitching and bespoke styling details that give the cabin a sportier character.

Across the range, a new driver-monitoring camera adds another layer of driver-focused technology, while Meteoroid Gray Metallic joins the exterior paint options.

Despite the changes, the Civic remains focused on practical, long-distance motoring. Honda quotes a driving range of up to 528 miles, underlining the efficiency credentials of its e:HEV hybrid powertrain.

The updates are designed to strengthen the Civic’s appeal by combining improved technology and a more distinctive driving experience with the refinement and usability expected of a family hatchback.

The refreshed Honda Civic e:HEV is available to order now in the UK, with prices starting at £34,325.
