Lewis Hamilton has fulfilled a lifelong dream, collecting his fully restored 1991 Ferrari F40 in an unforgettable moment at Maranello.
The seven-time Formula 1 world champion discovered the extraordinary supercar with just 69 kilometres on the clock. After being driven home by its original owner, the F40 reportedly spent decades untouched in a garage, preserving a remarkable piece of Ferrari history.
For Hamilton, the car holds a special significance, combining his passion for iconic machinery with his new chapter as a Ferrari driver. He entrusted Ferrari’s own engineers and mechanics with bringing the legendary supercar back to its former glory.
The transformation left Hamilton visibly stunned as the pristine F40 was unveiled, looking almost as though it had just rolled off the production line.
Finally hearing its engine roar back to life and taking it for a drive made the experience even more special.
For Hamilton, this was far more than collecting a car. It was a dream realised at Ferrari.
