Max Verstappen claimed a commanding Sprint victory on the streets of Singapore, overcoming treacherous mixed conditions and a chaotic opening lap before McLaren teammates Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris collided in the closing stages.

After a heavy pre-race downpour delayed proceedings by around 30 minutes, all drivers started on intermediate tyres. George Russell made a lightning getaway from the second row to snatch the lead from polesitter Verstappen, but his promising start ended in disaster when he crashed at the final corner on the opening lap.

Verstappen reclaimed first place and nailed the restart, gradually stretching his advantage as the circuit dried. Lewis Hamilton surged from sixth to second, holding off Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc as tyre wear became an increasing concern.

Behind them, the McLaren pair fought fiercely until Norris tagged Piastri at Turn 5, sending the Australian into a spin and dramatically reshuffling the order.

Championship leader Kimi Antonelli capitalised to secure fourth, ahead of Liam Lawson, Ollie Bearman and Nico Hulkenberg.

Norris limped home eighth, while Piastri was classified 14th after stopping. Multiple incidents and retirements further depleted the field, including a three-car collision involving Alex Albon, Gabriel Bortoleto and Valtteri Bottas.

At the front, however, Verstappen remained untouchable, converting a chaotic, rain-affected Sprint into another emphatic victory.
