Features

Hennesey is well known for modified and extreme-performance engineered cars, it’s what they do. Hennessey can also make bespoke performance cars, the Venom F5 Hypercar being one such example. The Venom F5 is built from the ground, the bespoke carbon fiber-bodied car is powered by a rear-mid-mounted 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V8. The engine is tuned to develop 1,817 hp at 8,000 rpm and a claimed top speed of 300mph. The Venom F5 weighs 1,360 kg (2,998 lb) and has a power-to-weight ratio of 1,298 hp/ton (1.34 hp/kg) – currently the highest power-to-weight ratio of any road car.

Hennessey Venom F5 Hypercar - 2022

The Hennessey Venom F5 is limited to just 30 examples with production set to start in Q1 2023. Hennessey came to the conclusion something was missing, the Venom F5 needed a celebratory extra, a limited edition accessory, and thus created the Venom F5 Concept Chronograph.

Hennessey partnered with Paris-based watch experts Skeleton Concept in co-creating the Venom F5 Concept. The limited-edition timepiece is kind of like a modified Rolex Daytona Chronograph, repurposed and re-designed to be paired to – via an inscribed chassis number – each individual Venom F5 hypercar.

The sapphire crystal case enables a 360-degree view of the intricate engineering of the Rolex 4130 caliber. The bespoke timepiece echoes the hypercar’s lightweight carbon fiber chassis.

The watch bezel is made of the same material and engraved with a high-contrast tachymetric scale, allowing the wearer to measure average speeds of up to 400 km/h. The band is color-matched to the exterior hue of the vehicle with which it is paired.

The Hennessey Venom F5 Concept timepiece isn’t cheap, it costs £200,000.
