Chery Automobile has introduced its first fully electric pickup truck, the Hilma (Rely R08) EV, marking its official debut on January 27, 2026. The model is available in six different variants, with prices starting at 127,800 yuan and topping out at 158,800 yuan (around USD 18,300 to 22,700). Built on a body-on-frame platform, the Hilma EV is offered with either a single-motor rear-wheel-drive setup or a dual-motor all-wheel-drive configuration.
Customers can choose between standard and long-box versions, measuring 5,330mm and 5,610mm in length respectively. Cargo bed depth ranges from 1,530mm to 1,810mm, while both variants share a width of 1,620mm.

Inside, the cabin showcases a contemporary layout with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a floating 12.3-inch or 15.6-inch central display, and a two-tone light brown and black color scheme accented by chrome trim.

Under the hood, the Hilma EV is powered by an all-electric drivetrain. The rear-wheel-drive version produces 150 kW (201 hp) and 350 N·m of torque, enabling a 0–100 km/h sprint in 8.8 seconds.

The dual-motor all-wheel-drive variant significantly boosts output to a combined 300 kW (402 hp) and 540 N·m, cutting acceleration time to just 5.0 seconds.

Buyers can choose between 66.54 kWh and 88 kWh battery packs, delivering driving ranges of up to 510 km, while higher-spec models are equipped with advanced driver assistance technologies such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, and automatic emergency braking.
The Hima is currently slated for a China, Latin America and South Africa release, a European launch date is subject to confirmation.
