Mat Armstrong Attempts To Repair A Busted Bugatti Chiron

I think we were among the first to feature Mat Armstrong. His earliest videos were shot using low-budget camera gear. A few years later, he’s repairing a Bugatti Chiron and being told by the CEO of Bugatti that only specialist engineers are allowed to work on Bugattis—and they work exclusively for Bugatti.

Bugatti refused to help in any way, so Armstrong was left with nothing but his trademark smile and chirpy, “nothing is impossible” attitude.

The owner of the Bugatti Chiron paid $6 million for the factory order, crashed it, collected the insurance payout, and then bought the car back.

He then appointed Mat Armstrong to repair his former pride and joy. That’s where I start to question why the owner didn’t take his heavily damaged Bugatti to a specialist engineering company with the tools and technicians needed to put a Chiron back on the road.

I suppose celebrity is everything. With celebrity comes the opportunity for side-hustle marketing, while Matty-boy gains more viewers on his channel—and the monetisation cycle continues. Regardless, it’s still good viewing.
