Just when you thought the Pagani Huayra had finally handed over the keys to its successor, the Utopia, the Italian hypercar maker has delivered one last reminder of what we’re going to miss.
Meet the Huayra 70 Anima, the third and final example of its exclusive anniversary series, and quite possibly the most outrageously extravagant yet.

Unveiled at the Concours at Wynn in Las Vegas, Anima is the product of Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni personalisation programme.
Its exposed blue carbon-fibre bodywork contains genuine diamond dust, while hand-applied platinum leaf adorns everything from the front splitter to the rear wing supports. Subtle, then.
The bodywork gets bespoke bumpers, a dramatic rear diffuser, a roof scoop inspired by the legendary Zonda Cinque and a six-pipe exhaust finished in white ceramic. It’s less supercar, more travelling art exhibition.

Fortunately, there’s substance beneath all that jewellery. The AMG-sourced 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 produces a mighty 851bhp and 811lb ft of torque, delivered to the rear wheels through a seven-speed Xtrac manual gearbox. Yes, an actual manual gearbox in a modern hypercar. Glorious.
Carbon-ceramic brakes, adjustable suspension and enormous Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tyres help keep the considerable performance in check.
Inside, milk-coloured leather meets exposed blue carbon fibre, with diamond dust even finding its way onto the steering wheel and gear knob.

Pagani spent more than a year perfecting Anima alongside its owner, fulfilling a childhood dream of creating something special with Horacio Pagani. And frankly, we’d struggle to imagine a more spectacular farewell to the Huayra.
