The updated Lexus RC will land on UK shores from November 1. First released in 2014 the Lexus RC Coupe is undergoing a mid-life design update for 2019. Typically such updates pertain to the headlights, front & rear bumpers and interior upgrades. The entry-level model will start from £38k.
Available in four trim levels the entry-level Lexus RC Luxury will get leather upholstery, driving assist technologies, front and rear parking sensors, navigation, reversing camera and 18-inch alloys as standard.
The RC F Sport, at £44k, adds a heated steering wheel, aluminum inlay, a 17 speaker Mark Levinson sound system, and sunroof.
The flagship Lexus RC Takumi will cost £45k, for that you get 19-inch alloy wheels, finer leather sports seats, adaptive suspension, and more tech equipment.
All RC Coupe model trims will be powered by the 219bhp 2.5-litre, 4-cylinder hybrid engine. If you want more power then go for the top of the range, 5.0-litre V8 powered 456bhp RC F.
I have driven the V8 powered car, it’s an OK drive. More grand tourer than out-right sports saloon.
