Power will be accessed via an eight-speed automatic. Toyota says that a manual version could be offered… but only if there is enough demand. Toyota has confirmed a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine will be offered at a later point.
The 2020 Toyota Supra will be loaded with agility enhancing tech. Driving modes (Normal/Sport) an active differential, active dampers, and launch control. A Track mode feature is also included.
The onboard ECU software has been developed to continuously monitor and control the steering and throttle input, brake and engine speed to ensure maximum stability when going for a hot lap.
We reckon the only hot lap potential owners will do is going to the local curry house.
Of course, the 2020 Toyota Supra will be offered with latest in-car tech, Bluetooth this infotainment that and massively nice sounding speaker system.
But ultimately the 2020 Toyota Supra will be judged by its performance and handling prowess.
Toyota has yet to reveal European pricing. Our industry sources say entry-level cars equipped with the 2.0-litre powerplant will start from £50k GBP.
