Lexus Forgot To Turn Up The Lights For This EV Concept
Auto News

Lexus is slowly revealing their latest EV Concept, but it appears the photographer forgot to turn on the studio lights. It’s all deliberate of course, and this photographer is using artistic sensibilities to create anticipation. The concept says Lexus, will become the B of the “beginning of the next generation of Lexus.”. All manufactures will make the great transition from fossil-powered cars to battery-powered cars within the next 10 years.

The Japanese state and indeed Japanese car manufactures prefer hydrogen-powered technology over battery-powered electric cars. And Toyota has been the front-runner of hybrid technology. But hydrogen has infrastructure problems, is expensive to produce and volatile to store. Even hybrid cars, once considered a cleaner alternative to ICE cars, will be banned in 10 years time.

So will this concept EV be hydrogen or battery-powered? that is the great unknown. We do know Lexus is developing a battery-powered EV. The full reveal will occur on March 20th. Concepts are a great way for automotive manufacturers to showcase a future vision. However car manufacturers often use concept reveals as a publicity stunt prop.
