YouTuber and super-tech nerd MKBHD is doing well enough with his channels to afford a brand new $130k Tesla Model S Plaid. The Model S Plaid isn’t for the faint-hearted, it has hypercar levels of performance with 4 doors and a hatchback. With just over 1,000bhp and 1,429NM of torque (1,050 LB-FT)  the Model S Plaid accelerates from 0-60mph in 2 seconds.

You pay a premium for a Tesla because the technology comes at a premium. For MKBH the Model S Plaid has a few dislikes. For example, the front hood is not powered, and neither are the rear fold-down seats. Minor build issues with the interior are also on the dislike list.

The steering wheel, the yoke, is a thumbs up and MKBHD would not go back to a normal round steering wheel, but he doesn’t like the steering wheel’s capacitive buttons. However, the software does get a big thumbs up.

So what does MKBHD like about his Tesla Model S Plaid? Simply put, it’s the best EV on the market due to its supercharger network and ease of charging. As MKBHD puts it, the Model S Plaid is a “missile in a straight line”
