China’s BYD, a global leader in new energy vehicles (NEVs), is introducing the innovative all-electric BYD SEAL D-segment saloon to European consumers. Building on the recent European launches of the BYD HAN (E-segment sedan), BYD TANG (E-segment SUV), BYD ATTO 3 (C-segment SUV), and BYD DOLPHIN (C-segment hatchback), BYD is now further advancing its presence in the European car market with the all-new BYD Seal.

The all-electric sports saloon is built on a new and “advanced” e-Platform 3.0, Cell- to-Body technology and 8-in-1 powertrain.

The BYD Seal features State-of-the-art vehicle architecture for the highest levels of safety, torsional rigidity, driving dynamics and intelligence.

The in-house developed, cobalt-free Blade Battery offers new levels of safety, durability, performance and efficient packaging.

The interior is packed with technology with high-quality materials for a refined finish. A Choice of two drivetrain options are offered, with WLTP range up to 354 miles, standard 11 kW AC charging capacity, and 150 kW DC ultra fast-charging capacity (30-80% in 26 min).

The exterior and interior themes incorporated into the Seal use BYD’s Ocean-inspired design language epitomised by sleek and dynamic aesthetics.

While Full equipment specifications are still pending, deliveries of the BYD Seal will commence in Q4 2023. BYD will offer two versions of the BYD Seal: the Design and the Excellence-AWD. The Design variant comes with a single motor and is priced at £44,990, while the Excellence-AWD boasts dual motors and carries a £47,990 price tag.
