Inevitably, Max Verstappen clinched victory at the 2024 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, seemingly gliding to the finish line after completing the 51-lap race. However, Verstappen had to earn his victory… his serene stroll to the finish was interrupted by Lance Stroll, who crashed out of the race on lap 8. The crash prompted the deployment of the safety car, and amidst a flurry of pit stops, Verstappen found himself in second place as Norris in his McLaren opted to remain on the track.

Within a few laps, Verstappen assumed the lead, capitalizing on the superiority of his Red Bull RB20 and fresher tyres to overtake Norris effortlessly, akin to taking candy from a child. Verstappen maintained his lead and thereafter, steadily pulled ahead of the competition without exerting excessive effort. Sergio Perez supported his teammate with a solid second-place finish but couldn’t match Verstappen’s pace.

In the battle behind the Red Bulls, there was a tactical struggle for the final podium position, ultimately claimed by Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari. While the Ferrari may not be on par with the Red Bull, it certainly outperforms the McLarens, Mercedes, and Aston Martins.

With two wins in two races, his 9th consecutive victory overall, Max Verstappen’s dominance doesn’t augur well for an exciting season; instead, it hints at a potentially tedious season dominated by Red Bull, attempting to clean-sweep all 24 races.

With two victories secured and 22 races remaining, even at this early stage, it seems like no one can halt this relentless Red Bull onslaught.
