Porsche is currently testing a prototype of the fully electric Cayenne which has been spotted in the wilds of Germany by eagle-eyed photographers eager to catch a glimpse of the upcoming model. While we don’t have any spy shots because we’re not willing to pay the copyright fees, rest assured that a fully electric Porsche Cayenne will debut in 2025. According to multiple industry sources, Porsche is poised to launch its battery-powered Cayenne in Bratislava, Slovakia.

This electric rendition of the popular model marks another significant stride towards Porsche’s ambition of achieving a predominantly emissions-free fleet by 2030. Building on the success of electric variants like the Macan crossover and 718 sports cars, the dual-motor electric Cayenne will leverage an enhanced version of Volkswagen Group’s Premium Platform Electric architecture, which it shares with Audi.

Embracing 800-volt technology for rapid recharging, akin to the Taycan and Macan, the Cayenne promises efficient performance and convenient charging capabilities. Spy shots of camouflaged prototypes reveal a sleek roofline and a closed grille, hinting at a sophisticated design direction.
