Smart has unveiled its new #5 model, a premium mid-size electric SUV. and advanced features. Utilising electric powertrains sourced from Mercedes Benz Chinese partners, the #5 features a contemporary exterior design language with a panoramic roof, frameless doors, and short overhangs.

Inside, the #5 boasts comfortable leather seats, a spacious rear compartment, and a range of convenience features. the vehicle has 34 storage compartments, a 72-litre frunk, and expansive storage space of up to 1,530 litres in the rear.

The Smart #5 is equipped with an electric motor and a 100kWh battery, offering a disputed and yet-to-be-proven range of over 340 miles (740 km) and fast charging capabilities. It also features current generation driver assistance systems (ADAS) and a state-of-the-art infotainment system.

A rising speaker with ambient lighting synchronizes with the rhythm of the music to create a complete audio-visual experience.

The #5 is available in various configurations, including the Adventurers’ Collection, which adds off-road features like a roof light bar, an electric trailer hitch, and underbody protection.

The #5 is expected to launch in the UK with a starting price around £35,000.
