In the world of modern vehicle production, manual labor such as panel beating has largely been eliminated, even from low-volume manufacturers like Lamborghini. In today’s production environment, where automation and AI-driven logistics are paramount, manual labour belongs to a bygone era. However, Lamborghini is challenging this notion by reintroducing manual labour to highlight its bespoke services.
Lamborghini’s personalization department, Ad Personam, selected the Revuelto model for a 20-day specialized painting process. In this process, the entire car was hand-painted using a brush to emulate the breaking waves and blue sea tones of Sardinia—a large Italian island in the Mediterranean Sea known for its nearly 2,000 km of coastline and sandy beaches.
The blue color theme continues inside the Revuelto, but its performance remains exceptional. The V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) delivers 1,015 PS, produced by the combined power of the combustion engine and three electric motors.
The engines work in conjunction with a dual-clutch gearbox, which is used for the first time in a twelve-cylinder Lamborghini. The result is acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds and a top speed exceeding 217 mph.
So what is the point of this special-special Revuelto? After all, you can hire any other bespoke service company in the world to paint your Lamborghini. Well, it’s simply a chance for Lamborghini to say, “don’t use them, use us”.
