The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX has made a comeback, powered by a supercharged V8 and billed as the fastest and most powerful petrol-powered production pick-up truck in the world. The revived model is also being considered for a return to the Australian market.
Following the reintroduction of V8 power across the Ram 1500 range in North America, the TRX is once again offered with a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 producing 776bhp and 922Nm—surpassing the Ford F-150 Raptor R on both power and torque. Ram claims a 0–60mph (0–97km/h) sprint time of just 3.5 seconds.

The TRX retains its eight-speed automatic transmission, full-time four-wheel drive, and TRX-specific suspension and steering, now managed under the newly revived SRT performance division.

Designed for extreme off-road performance, the 2027 TRX features Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive dampers, forged aluminium suspension components, 35-inch tyres on beadlock-capable wheels, a Dana 60 rear axle with electronic locking differential, and a five-link rear suspension.
Ram quotes 284mm of ground clearance and up to 355mm of axle travel, with advanced terrain and suspension management systems that adapt in real time.

Styling updates include an SRT-branded grille, steel bumpers, functional skid plates, red recovery points, a bonnet scoop with marker lights, and dual exhaust outlets. Inside, the TRX offers a 14.5-inch infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, head-up display, premium Harman Kardon audio, luxury seating features, and hands-free highway driving assistance.
The 2027 Ram 1500 TRX will go on sale in the United States in the second half of 2026, priced from $US99,995.
