The McMurtry Spéirling PURE marks the transition from a record-breaking prototype to a production-ready, single-seat electric hyper track car designed to deliver Formula 1-level performance in a package that is accessible to both amateur enthusiasts and professional drivers.
After nearly a decade of research and development, the production model features 95% new components while maintaining the extraordinary performance that made the prototype famous.

It gained worldwide recognition after setting the Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb record in 2022, breaking the Top Gear Test Track record in 2025, and becoming the first car to successfully drive upside down using its revolutionary downforce system.
Significant improvements have been made across every aspect of the vehicle. The battery capacity has increased from 60kWh to 100kWh, extending track running time while supporting rapid charging.

New drive motors, an upgraded gearbox, improved regenerative braking, and a redesigned cooling system enhance efficiency and performance. The carbon-fibre chassis has been enlarged to provide greater driver comfort, improved visibility, and easier access, while new safety features such as headlights, indicators, and brake lights make the car more practical for track-day use.
The Spéirling PURE’s defining innovation remains its patented Downforce-on-Demand™ system, which uses twin high-speed fans to generate up to 2,000kg of downforce from standstill.

This enables exceptional grip, allowing the car to achieve 3g in cornering and braking while maintaining stability even during spins. Unlike conventional aerodynamic systems, the downforce is available regardless of vehicle speed, giving drivers remarkable confidence and control.
Designed for simple ownership, the car can be operated by the driver and one assistant, with optional factory support available. Owners can also personalise their vehicles extensively and participate in exclusive track events through the McMurtry Owners Club.

Producing 1,000bhp, accelerating from 0–60mph in just 1.55 seconds, reaching a top speed of190mph, and priced at approximately £995,000 before taxes and options, the Spéirling PURE establishes a new benchmark in electric track car performance while combining cutting-edge engineering with a practical ownership experience.
